Learn to Play Croquet

Come along and learn the fascinating sport of Croquet by joining a beginners' course at Ashby Croquet Club in Moira. As well as learning the basics of the game, the course will include friendly games of Golf Croquet. It takes place on four consecutive Tuesday evenings on the club's lawns at Moira Miners Welfare, Bath Lane, Moira (just opposite the Conkers Waterside entrance).

First session: Tuesday 4th June 2013 6.00 to 8.00 pm

The cost of the whole course is £20 per person which includes not only the use of all equipment, but also includes membership of Ashby Croquet Club for the rest of the season which runs until early October.

Under 18s free if accompanied by a paying adult; under 21s half price.

Please wear trainers or flat-soled shoes.

Arts festival Film Fringe at The Vine Bar

Two films by local filmmakers Brian Langtry and Len Holden -“The Story of the Dirty Thirty” (the story of the 30 local miners who stayed on strike for the whole of the 1984 dispute) and “A Rainy Day in Cromer” first shown to popular acclaim in the 2010 Festival, 7.30pm.
